Ivyl Kay Neeley, 80, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Oct 21, 2020 at home with her family by her side.

Kay was born in Greencastle, at home, the daughter of Daniel B. and Eula May (McAdams) Cooper.

She was a 1958 graduate of Belle Union High School.

On Oct. 11, 1969 she was married in Muncie by her uncle, Dreek McAdams, to the love of her life, Larry Marvin Neeley.

Kay worked at IBM and Mallory’s before pursuing her education and graduating from IUPUI School of Nursing. After nearly 30 years of service as a nurse, she retired from Putnam County Hospital.

She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church since 1957. She loved her family wholeheartedly and God.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years; a brother, Rudy (Edith) Cooper, Wapanucka, Okla.; a sister, Paula (Jim) Gray, Poland, Ind.; two children, Rhonda (Jim) Fisher, Greencastle, and Darren (Rachel) Neeley Columbus; six grandchildren, Tela (Gabby) Fisher, Trista (David) Dilley, Tosha (Ronald) Willard, Rose Neeley, Nick Neeley and Thomas Neeley; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Raylea, Matthew and Abby, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy Cooper and Bob Cooper; two sons, Randy Neeley and Eugene Neeley; and a great-grandson, Blake Dilley.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, on Saturday Nov. 7. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. Burial will follow the service at New Providence Cemetery.
