Mary M. Williams

Mary M. Williams, 89, of Belle Union, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020 at home surrounded by family.

She was born Jan. 7, 1931 to the late Pascal and Lillian (Pittman) Fidler.

Mary married Charles Williams on July 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death Oct. 9, 2017.

Mary was the head cook at South Putnam Schools before she retired in 1993.

She was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church in Belle Union and was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her son, Paul Williams and wife Jami; daughter Sara Burnett and husband Steve; grandchildren April Becher, Steven Burnett, Cory Burnett, Brian Williams and Chelsea Williams; great-grandchildren Gavin, Hudson, Cohen, Haili and Mallori; sister Karen Devan; and special friend who’s like a son, Terry Clearwater.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Steagall and Janet Fidler.

Due to COVID-19 a private family service for Mary will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Union Valley Baptist Church in Belle Union. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time of 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Walnut Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Union Valley Baptist Church at 5499 S. CR. 800 East, Coatesville, IN 46121
