Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated four recent property-damage crashes.

• At 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Shea A. Mahoney-Sutherland, 28, Cloverdale, was northbound on U.S. 231 in a 2013 Ford Escort when she hit a deer.

Deputy Daniel Birt estimated damage at $1,000-$2,500.

The road in this area is narrow and both drivers were approaching a hillcrest. Deputy Brian Helmer reported that skid marks indicated both drivers were left of center as they approached one another.

Hornback told Helmer he did not see Wilson approaching. Wilson said he saw Hornback was left of center and could not avoid the collision.

Hornback complained of pain all over his body and was taken to the hospital by family members. Wilson had pain in his hand and was taken to Putnam County Hospital by Putnam County EMS.

• At 1:34 p.m. on Monday, Eliana M. Voorhees, 19, Cloverdale, was northbound on County Road 550 East in a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander when she ran off the road.

Voorhees told Deputy Scott Ducker she lost control and left the road, where the vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its side.

• At 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, Wayne W. Campbell, 55, Coatesville, was westbound on County Road 600 South in a 2019 Dodge Ram when the sun obstructed his ability to see the road.

The truck crossed the oncoming lane and ran up a bridge guardrail. The vehicle slid across the top of the guardrail and then rolled one time on the other side of the bridge.

Campbell was transported to an Indianapolis hospital by Putnam County EMS.

The truck was towed. Deputy Birt estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.
