No serious injuries have been reported after a two-car crash slowed traffic on the eastern edge of Veterans Memorial Highway Monday morning.

At 9:47 a.m., first responders were called to the scene at the intersection of Veterans Highway and Warren Drive near Walmart Distribution. A white Toyota hybrid was found with heavy front-end damage, while a red Lincoln crossover came to rest facing west in a ditch.

It is believed the Lincoln was traveling east, while the Toyota’s driver was either going to turn or cross the intersection. However, no concrete details on how both eventually struck each other were available after the incident.

The Greencastle Fire Department, Greencastle Police Department and Putnam County EMS all responded to the crash. Seniour’s Wrecker Service was also called to the scene.

The Banner Graphic was advised by Greencastle Police Chief Tom Sutherlin at the scene that the drivers of both vehicles had signed medical releases.
