Patsy Ellen Rogers

Patsy Ellen Rogers, 82, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.

Born Nov. 27, 1938 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Leonard and Lucy (Phipps) Swim.

She was a graduate of Bridgeton High School.

She worked at DePauw University for 44 years, retiring in 2004 from the computer science department where she worked as a secretary.

Patsy is survived by her son, Rick A. Rogers (Cheri Phillips); sisters, Polly Sullivan and Frieda Pettit; a brother James (Shirley) Swim; grandchildren, Collette Reeves and Matthew J. Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Oliver and Caroline Cope and Delilah, Ridley and Finn Reeves.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Rogers; and a son, David L. Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at the Walnut Chapel Cemetery in Belle Union.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Patsy to the American Cancer Society.
