The Greencastle Virtual Music Festival presents an online evening of jazz with Steve Snyder and Friends this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Snyder, a professor at the DePauw School of Music and host of “Jazz at the Duck,” is joined by Sophie Faught (saxophone), Kenny Phelps (drums) and Joel Tucker (guitar). The group performs an original composition by Snyder as well as music by Burt Bacharach, Neal Hefti and Marvin Gaye.

“We’re incredibly happy to have Steve and his colleagues perform for us this week,” festival founder and host Eric Edberg said. “These are some of the finest jazz musicians not just in the region but in the country.”

The program goes live at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and can be heard and seen:

• In a watch party with post-concert discussion at http://watch.gvmf.live

• At facebook.com/greencastlevirtualmusic

• At greencastlemusic.org.

All previous weekly programs are available at http://playlist.gvmf.live.

The Greencastle Virtual Music Festival programs are made possible by the Greencastle Summer Music Festival family of donors and the GSMF endowment at the Putnam County Community Foundation, the Putnam County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the DePauw Performing Arts Series, the Inn at DePauw, the people of Gobin Church, and in partnership with the Sunnyside concert series.
