Beth Hamilton

EDGE 21 is happy to announce the selection of a new, full-time executive director in Beth Hamilton.

Beth is currently a care coordinator for Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center. She has dedicated her life to helping people of all ages, from birth to senior citizens. With a wide range of experience ranging from a field training manager for a large retail convenience store chain, to a career in the field of law, to working for a school district in southern Indiana and volunteering as a Scott County CASA, her knowledge, skills and experience are broad and transferable.

Beth has a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and, as a lifelong learner, is currently working on her Master of Science in psychology from Purdue University Global online.

One of Beth’s favorite quotes is, “Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.”

A strong believer of the power of positive thinking in the workplace, Beth regularly develops internal wellness campaigns to assist employees with effective mental health techniques.

Beth regularly enjoys a good Netflix binge and watching kid movies with her cupcake-eating son, and she can also be found going for walks in the park with that same child and his dog.

Beth will begin with EDGE 21 on Feb. 3, working from home and car until the EDGE 21 office is complete and available at the Putnam County Community Foundation building in April. She plans to move to the Greencastle area in March.

EDGE 21 is a multigenerational program to enroll eligible 21st Century Scholars, complete readiness requirements and provide weekly mentoring through “huddles” in each Putnam County high school. Our goal is to embolden these scholars into post-secondary education and successful careers.

Beth will have day-to-day operational responsibility for EDGE 21, and her immediate focus will begin with 21st Century Scholars enrollment and bringing all of the huddles in our county schools to active status.
