PCPL announces new COVID-19 protocols

Monday, February 1, 2021

The Putnam County Public Library recently announced new protocols for COVID-19. These will more closely tie the library’s procedures to the Indiana State Health Department (ISDH) and Putnam County Health Department testing data.

Beginning Monday, the library will tie its COVID-19 procedures to the advisory level of Putnam County.

Each Monday, the library will change its service offerings to match the advisory level of the county. As Putnam County moved from Red to Orange last Wednesday, the library has moved to Orange status.

The statuses that correspond to the color-coded advisory level are as follows:

• Blue: Masks and social distancing required

• Yellow: Limited public seating

• Orange: Grab-and-go service

• Red: Lobby-only service

More information about available services can be found on the library website, social media pages and by calling 653-2755.

The ISDH advisory level can be found on the ISDH website under the drop-down category “Map Metrics” located under the County Metrics menu.
