PCCF sponsoring book club

Monday, February 1, 2021

The Putnam County Community Foundation has launched CommunityReads, a book club designed to build new relationships while pushing oneself to explore new concepts.

Participants will meet virtually on the first Thursday of each month beginning in March, and this program will conclude in June.

The first book of the year will be “The Power of Moments” by Dan and Chip Heath. The book discusses why certain brief experiences can jolt, elevate and change people — and how people can learn to create such extraordinary moments in their life and work.

The Foundation hopes participants will gain new perspectives and ideas to implement in their daily lives.

“The Community Foundation is always looking for new opportunities to connect with our friends, neighbors, and colleagues in Putnam County because they inspire us daily,” said Executive Director Brandon Wells. “This book club represents our sincerest desire to spark new interest in philanthropy and put our collective heads together for the greater good. You never know from where, or whom, the next great idea will come.”

Community members interested in participating should visit www.pcfoundation.org to register. There are 25 spots available, and books will be provided to all participants.
