Jean Price Barnes

The world lost a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jean (Price) Barnes, on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021.

Jean was a beautiful person inside and out. Memories of her dedication and love for her family and friends will forever be cherished by her loved ones. Jean was a very hard worker, retiring from IBM and then continuing to work as a cook for Cracker Barrel.

When she was not working, because we all know she could not sit still, she enjoyed hunting for treasures at garage sales, fishing on the lake with her husband Vic, tending to her garden and spending time with her family.

Jean is survived by her loving husband, Vic Barnes; her daughters, Tracy McBride, Stacy Tucker and Trisha Barnes; her son, Chad Receveur; her grandchildren, Brady Tucker and his wife Mira, Mitchell McBride and his girlfriend Katie Hammett, Mathew McBride and Aydin Receveur; her sons-in-law, Brad Tucker and the late Tim McBride and her soon to be son-in-law Scott Husler.

The good Lord called her home to be the angel we already knew she was here on earth.

Sympathy flowers can be sent to Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale, or in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to a charity that held a special place in her heart, St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Family and friends are invited to say goodbye to Jean at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time.

The family requests that masks be worn at funeral services.
