Barbara Louise Roberts

Barbara Louise Roberts, 73, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Born Aug. 30, 1947 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Albert and Frances (Skinner) Layton.

She was a graduate of Northwest High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from the University of Indianapolis.

Barbara was a homemaker and had worked the Cummings Group Home in Danville. Barbara was a graduate of the House of James Beauty College and loved to do hair.

She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Guy R. Roberts Sr.; sons, Fr. Guy Roberts and Gerald Roberts; her father, Albert Layton; two sisters, Carol (Tom) Elson and Nancy (Steve) Heard; and a brother, Danny (Kim) Layton.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
