County Jail

Twelve people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 6:20 p.m. Keith J. Wolfe, 33, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for dealing in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

• At 6:11 p.m. Andrew J. Bradley, 44, Gosport, was booked in for dealing in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

• At 3:17 p.m. Joshua D. Hickman, 33, Coatesville, was lodged at the jail for criminal mischief.

• At 3 p.m. Erick M. Standley, 36, Brazil, was taken into custody for theft.

• At 11:39 a.m. Donald L. Dixie, 40, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and resisting law enforcement.

• At 9:08 a.m. Ashli N. Johnston, 34, Bainbridge, was booked in for theft and criminal trespass.

Tuesday

• At 4:10 p.m. James A. Skelton II, 66, Roachdale, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

• At 1:38 p.m. Christopher C. Craft, 31, Brazil, was housed at the jail for domestic battery and criminal mischief.

Monday

• At 7:53 p.m. Thomas E. Schultheis, 54, Cloverdale, was booked in for battery resulting in bodily injury.

• At 3:56 p.m. Adam J. Llewellyn, 40, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of a narcotic drug and possession of paraphernalia.

• At 10:59 a.m. Michael L. Dawson, 24, Greencastle, was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license.

• At 10:39 a.m. Tina L. Frances, 42, Brazil, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and driving with a suspended license.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 2:47 p.m. Tuesday, Richard J. Thomas, 44, Roachdale, was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten.

Thomas taken into custody on Washington Street for resisting law enforcement and a Putnam County warrant for domestic battery, he was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

• At 8:39 a.m. Monday, Sandra R. Sanchez, 33, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Zach Rhine.

Taken into custody at a Gardenside Drive residence, Sanchez was booked into the county jail for possession of a Schedule II drug, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to two dispatches:

• At 1:17 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to a brush fire at 6309 W. CR 100 South. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 1:29 and assisted the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department with extinguishment. GFD went back into service at 3:08 p.m.

• At 12:42 a.m. on Thursday, GFD was alerted to a power line rubbing against a tree limb near 1415 E. CR 225 South. Firefighters found the power line at 12:53 and saw that it was sparking. GFD remained until Duke Energy came. GFD went back into service at 1:47 a.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed six medical assists and had three disregards.
