County Jail

Ten people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Sunday

• At 11:19 p.m. Brian J. Syra, 47, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for resisting law enforcement.

Saturday

• At 5:52 a.m. Brian A. Wallace, 21, Poland, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

Friday

• At 11:09 p.m. Christine Maldonado, 46, Gosport, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 4:41 a.m. Cody A. Ison-Ladigo, 24, Martinsville, was booked in on a court order.

Thursday

• At 8:01 p.m. Keven D. Crowe, 29, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

• At 7:08 p.m. Clifton D. Tuell, 56, Cloverdale, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

• At 2:50 p.m. Brandi L. Clodfelter, 39, Clayton, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

• At 11:57 a.m. Robert L. Richardson, 60, Greencastle, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 10:48 a.m. Richard L. Smith, 42, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 1:20 a.m. Dalton D. Hall, 41, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a warrant.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 6:19 p.m. Sunday, Richard Jordan, 30, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Luke Brown.

Taken into custody at Roban Apartments on Bloomington Street, Jordan was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

He was also held on a Putnam County warrant for violation of bond on original charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

Sheriff’s Office

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated two recent property-damage crashes.

• At 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, James H. Hardesty, 43, Roachdale, was southbound on County Road 250 East when a deer ran into the side of his 2000 Dodge Dakota.

Deputy Daniel Birt estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

• At 7:14 a.m. on Saturday, Brian J. Blackburn, 47, Rosedale, was eastbound on U.S. 40 in a 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage when he hit a deer.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage and had to be towed.

Deputy Brian Helmer estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to two dispatches:

• At 9:40 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident without injuries near Buffalo Wild Wings on Indianapolis Road. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 9:49 and cleaned debris from the roadway. GFD went back into service at 10:13 p.m.

• At 1:08 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 96 Martinsville St. for an illegal burn. Firefighters arrived at 1:12 and found a small fire smoldering in a fire pit. The homeowner was not present. The fire was extinguished and GFD went back into service at 1:19 p.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed seven medical assists.
