Work of young artists now on display at museum

Putnam County is home to talented artists of all ages.

Currently, the Putnam County Museum is showcasing the work of young artists who’ve been guided and encouraged by dedicated instructors.

The annual student art show brings together pieces in a variety of media from students in kindergarten through high school, with a museum represntative calling the art “fresh, surprising, impressive and just plain fun.”

The public is invite to take a few minutes to enjoy a visit to the Museum. View the art, choose your favorite piece and cast your People’s Choice vote

While you’re there, feel free to browse the other exhibits.

In addition to the museum’s new regular hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, during the student art show, it will be open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14 and 21. Saturday hours remain the same, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Appointments are appreciated. Call 653-8419 to schedule a visit. The show continues until April 24.
