Patricia Ann Ruhlig

Patricia Ann Ruhlig, 74, of Greencastle, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Patricia was born in Greencastle on Dec. 29, 1946, the daughter of Charles Junior and Florence (Lady) Wood.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Mrs. Ruhlig worked for more than 25 years with Walmart, before retiring from Walmart Distribution Center in Quality Assurance. She was a lifetime member of Greencastle Moose Lodge No. 1592 and American Legion Post No. 58. Patricia was also a member of the VFW.

Survivors include her fiancé, Bill Furby; four children, Gregory Kallner (wife Tracy) of Terre Haute, Charles David Kallner of Greencastle, Sandra Miller (husband Bill) of Greencastle and Sherry Vermillion of Greencastle; a brother, Chuck Wood (wife Beth) of Greencastle; a sister, Caron York (Jim) of Greencastle; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel C. Ruhlig, and a sister, Linda Patterson.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
