Monday, May 31, 2021

The Bainbridge Improvement Society’s spring Jonah Fish Fry is set for 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4 at the Bainbridge Town Hall along U.S. 36.

A meal for $9 includes fried fish, two sides, dessert and a drink. Hot dog dinners will also be served.

Both the popular curbside service and in-house dining that was instituted last year will be available.

The Bainbridge Improvement Society has hosted this event twice a year for the past 12 years.

The Bainbridge Improvement Society is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization of community volunteer members dedicated to improving the quality of life in Bainbridge.

Activities include sponsoring a monthly Gleaners Mobile Food Pantry, assisting financially with the July 4 fireworks as well as both the softball and baseball fields, providing rental space for vendors during the Covered Bridge Festival, sponsoring a Wednesday afternoon farmer’s market and hosting an annual free community Thanksgiving dinner.

Membership is open to anyone interested in helping with its projects and programs. The facility may be rented for private events by contacting the Bainbridge Town Hall. The Society also has an active endowment fund established with the Putnam County Community Foundation.
