Michael Wayne ‘Mike’ Cromwell

Michael Wayne “Mike” Cromwell passed away at 74 years of age on Tuesday, May 3, 2021 in Rockford, Ill., of a brain mass.

Preceded in death by his mother, Hila Virgina (Spur) Crews, he was a longtime resident of Greencastle, working first at Olin (formerly Bridgeport) Brass then moving on to Chrysler.

After the Indianapolis foundry shut down, Mike and his wife, (deceased) Trudy Ann (McCormick) Cromwell, moved to the Rockford area so that Mike could continue working at the Belvidere facility. He retired in 2009.

He resided in Pecatonica, Ill., until his death with his son, Scott Cromwell, who survives.

His daughter, Cari Ann (Cromwell, Richards) Staggs, survives, as well as most of his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends and loved ones.
