Thomas (Tom) Lloyd Miller

Thomas (Tom) Lloyd Miller passed at home on June 15, 2021 at the age of 76. He was surrounded by family.

Tom was a lover of all things food and cooking and often the source of many “Tom” jokes and stories and mishaps only he could master. He was the passionate owner of his grandfather’s 1941 Willys Americar that he restored to all original parts, winning multiple awards on the car show circuit.

He spent 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, with four of those in active duty during the Vietnam War. Tom retired from Indianapolis Power and Light after 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelley Howard and his parents Kenneth and Katherine Miller, as well as three brothers.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy (Jeffras) Miller. Tom was a loving father to Stacey Higgins (Charles), Shelley Howard (Aaron) and Scott Miller (Brooke) and a “bonus” daughter Dana Howard, all residing in Cloverdale, and the proud grandfather of Jaime Barb (Joshua), Lyndsay Garrison (Bobby), Ashley Dayhuff (Aaron), Megan Flory (Josh), Tyler Howard (Ellie), Andrew Howard, Alexandria Acosta, Drew Whitt and Morghan Miller. Tom also had 12 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Tom, Ashton, Diem, Isaiah, Ayden, Anders, Raelynn, Zeke, Reese, Addley, Barrett and Jasper, along with special cousins, nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 21 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22 at noon with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time.
