Michael Wayne Bricker

Michael Wayne Bricker, 61, of Greencastle and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in his residence.

He was born in Terre Haute on Sept. 10, 1959.

Michael was a correctional sergeant for the Putnamville Correctional Facility and was a member of the Cloverdale Masonic Lodge 132 F & AM, as well as the Knights of Columbus in Terre Haute.

Michael is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Pearson Bricker, whom he married Aug. 6, 1999, and his cat Chloe. Also surviving are his parents, Carole Lawrence Rost and Harold “Bud” Rost; and four sons, Christopher Bricker, Joseph Bricker, Michael Bricker and Derek Bricker. Also surviving are his siblings, Debbie Rost Bahr (Chuck), David Bricker, Steve Rost (Kelly) and Lorrie Rost Myers (Scott); as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anna Smith Lawrence and Charles Lawrence; as well as a sister-in-law, Robin Bricker.

A celebration of life service was held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute on Monday, June 21 at 3 p.m. Visitation was on Monday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes, cremation followed services.
