County Jail

Eight people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Monday

• At 2:50 a.m. Brian A. Player, 31, Frankfort, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

Sunday

• At 11:35 p.m. Sigmund A. Croan, 28, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a warrant.

• At 1:25 p.m. Tyler A. Livingston, 25, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for possession of marijuana.

Friday

• At 1:17 p.m. Ryan P. Wilson, 45, Indianapolis, was booked in on a warrant.

• At 12:23 p.m. Allycia J. Patton, 33, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for criminal trespass.

• At 10:24 a.m. John D. Pastrick, 27, Brazil, was taken into custody on a warrant.

• At 2:59 a.m. Kenna L. Spears, 42, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated endangering a person.

Thursday

• At 3:31 p.m. Heather A. Barrett, 38, Indianapolis, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Police

One recent summons was issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 7:28 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, Joshua McCormack, 37, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped on Shadowlawn Avenue near Melrose Drive, McCormack was issued a summons into court for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five recent dispatches:

• At 10:57 a.m. on Friday, GFD was called out to 3776 S. U.S. 231 for an outside fire close to buildings. Firefighters arrived at 11:04 a.m. and determined the fire was controlled and being watched. GFD went back into service at 11:14 a.m.

• At 12:31 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to Putnam County Comprehensive Services for a reported gas leak. The building was evacuated and firefighters arrived at 12:33, monitored the building and found nothing. Maintenance shut off the gas and Vectren was notified. GFD went back into service at 12:45 p.m.

• At 7:14 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to the area of 104 Martinsville St. for a tree in the roadway. Firefighters found the tree at 7:21 and removed it. The tree fell on a car as it went down the road. GFD went back into service at 7:33 p.m.

• At 7:42 a.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 1200 Houck Rd. for a tree in the roadway. Firefighters found the tree at 7:51 and removed it. GFD went back into service at 8:05 a.m.

• At 11:52 a.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to the area of 196 CR 200 North for a tree that had fallen into power lines. Firefighters arrived at 12:05 p.m. and secured the scene until the highway department arrived and put up barricades. GFD went back into service at 12:54 p.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed 12 medical assists, had two disregards and found nothing on one run.
