Helen Elizabeth Knauer

Helen Elizabeth (Wettschuarek) Knauer, 98, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Born Aug. 9, 1922 in Wabash Township of Tippecanoe County, she was the last of 10 children born to George J. and Effie (Wolf) Wettschuarek.

On Feb. 14, 1952 she married Kenneth J. Knauer at her parents’ home in Montmorenci.

She was a Christian and tried to live her life showing her love for Jesus Christ.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and eight sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 1 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Helen to the Beech Grove United Methodist Church or the Putnam County Senior Center.
