Meanwhile, other young people put their ingenuity to work turning something old into something new, like Brody Roseboom turning an old oxygen canister into a charcoal grill.

Additionaly, Kainan Beasley made a headboard largely from baseball bats, Stone Stauch turned an old chair into a planter and Aiden Beadles manufactured a porch table from his grandpa’s old chicken crates. These and hundreds of other 4-H projects will remain on display at the Putnam County Fairgrounds through Friday evening.
