Gobin Supports SAWs

Members of Gobin Church and SAWs (Servants at Work) volunteers gather as the church presents a $1,000 community grant to the ministry. SAWs is a mission of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church that has been providing handicap ramps, steps and safety rails to disabled residents in Putnam County since 2009. SAWs has helped more than 220 handicapped residents in Putnam County. Anyone who might be in need of a ramp or would like to volunteer or donate to SAWs is asked to call 653-5713 or email churchoffice@cinergymetro.net. Organizations and programs of Putnam County looking to apply for the next grant can visit www.gobinumc.org/community-small-grants. The deadline for the next grant will be Oct 15.
