Nancy Merle Foster

Mrs. Nancy Merle Foster, 92, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

She was born March 14, 1929 in Hickman County, Ky., a daughter of the late Orville and Hazel (Condor) Grooms.

On Dec. 24, 1966, she was united in marriage to John Gordan Foster in Lebanon. He preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2000.

Nancy retired from Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon as a medical assistant phlebotomist. She enjoyed bowling and being in the Red Hat Society. Most of all, she cherished her time with family and her grandchildren.

Survivors include four children, Steve Parker and wife Patty of Orland Park, Ill., Beth Kaplanek and husband Chuck of Long Island, N.Y., Marty Watts and husband Max of Greencastle and Brent Parker of Naples, Fla.; 10 grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one brother, Thomas Grooms and wife Elaine of Edmond, Okla.

Private memorial graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon at a later date.

Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation.
