Donald Wood

Donald Wood, 72, of Fillmore, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021.

Donald was born on Oct. 30, 1948 to the late Earl Wood and Erma Brant.

Donald was a truck driver for more than 50 years, where he amassed more than five million miles in safe driving. He also loved to fish, mushroom hunt and spend time with his family.

Donald is survived by his wife, Charlene Wood; daughters Jennifer Menchhofer (Chris), Michelle Mackintosh and Natalee Hessler (Mark); son Michael Mackintosh (Ginger); stepchildren Shelly Genslinger (Kile), Missy Bisping, David Hite, Amy Mitchell (Buford) and Angie Piersall (Brad); sister Earlene Shaff (Joe); brothers Terry Brant (Cinda) and Terry Wood (Melissa); nine grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son James Wood; and his favorite companion, his dog Butch.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with details to be shared by family.
