Patricia Maryland Miner, 86, of Greencastle, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Patricia was born in Muncie on Nov. 28, 1934, the daughter of Dewey David and Geneva E. (Dilley) Jarrett.

She attended Ball State University, Ivy Tech Community College and Butler University. Patricia worked as an office manager for Ivy Tech for 27 years, and volunteered for the Putnam County Public Library for many years.

Mrs. Miner was a member of First Christian Church in Greencastle, and was also a member of the Putnam County Museum.

Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Buttram (David); a son, John Miner (Monica); seven grandchildren, Tracy Creek, Kelly Avenatti, Brady Little, Carrie Hook (Jon), Joey Buttram, Mollie Miner and Sarah Miner; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marcia Harmon (Jeff); a brother-in-law, James Miner (Lucy); a son-in-law, Brian Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, John C. Miner; a daughter, Jody Smith; two brothers, Paul Jarrett and Bob Jarrett; and two sisters, Norma Wagner and Jayne Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13 at Danville United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Champion officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
