Wreaths Across America

Monday, December 20, 2021
Beginning with the laying of eight wreaths at the base of the Daughters of the American Revolution monument and culminating with the decoration of graves throughout the veterans section, Washburn Chapter DAR hosted a Wreaths Across America event on Saturday in conjunction with more than 2,500 cemeteries across the country. The local chapter of the DAR is hoping to grow the event in the coming year, and it isn’t too early to sponsor a wreath for 2022. From now through Jan. 14, any wreath sponsored through the Washburn Chapter will be matched by the Wreaths Across America. Visit http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/IN0139P.

  • How beautiful and patriotic! A light dusting of snow would be the icing on the cake. Thanks to the DAR and all their volunteers for organizing this and I hope that it continues and grows in the future years.
