Raymond Cecil Phillips

Raymond Cecil Phillips, 92, Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.

Born Jan. 1, 1929 in Greencastle, he was the son of Willie and Ester Fern (Knight) Phillips.

He was a graduate of Fillmore High School.

Raymond was a press operator at IBM for 33 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church for more than 60 years. He had also served in the Indiana National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Phillips; and stepchildren, John and Robin Dloniak.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Wynnette (Hutton) Phillips; a son, William Phillips; stepchildren Donald Jellison, Tom Dloniak, Sandra Wilcox and Terri Ferry; several grand-, great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Fillmore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of service.
