Anthony James Ingram, 49, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Anthony was born in Pensacola, Fla., on Jan. 9, 1972, the son of Charles Ingram Sr. and Evelyn Henderson.

He was a 1990 graduate of Ben Davis High School.

Mr. Ingram worked for 20 years with Marsh. He also worked at DePauw University for 15 years. He was a writer and entertainer. Anthony owned and operated Big Daddy A. D. J. Service, and did the first hour of entertainment on First Friday on the square in Downtown Greencastle. He had a published book titled “Coming Out of My Cocoon.”

Survivors include two brothers, Charles Ingram Jr. (Natalie) of Rochester, N.Y., and Terrance Boland of Rochester, N.Y.; the Stephen Brattain family; Beth Krampe (Chris); three nieces; a nephew; several aunts, uncles and a host of cousins; and his extended Greencastle family from PCCS, Marsh, DePauw, Special Olympics and the Moose Lodge, as well as, many other organizations.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Mattie and Pete Henderson.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at Hanna Street Baptist Church with Pastor Stephen Brattain officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery. A celebration will follow at the Moose Lodge.

His family in New York will also be planning a memorial service in New York at a later date.
