‘Where Does Your Money Go?’ to be offered in Putnam County

Monday, December 27, 2021

When payday rolls around, many consumers try to figure out which bills they will pay and which ones must wait until another paycheck comes in. With costs increasing for necessary expenses such as gasoline, utilities and healthcare, consumers are finding it harder to make ends meet.

If you, like many others, are wondering how you can stretch your paycheck and make your money go further, you may want to attend the program “Where Does Your Money Go?”

“A fresh look at your financial situation can give you new insight into ways to change spending behaviors in order to have more money,” said Abbi Sampson, Purdue Extension Educator for Health and Human Sciences. “If some unnecessary items are eliminated or postponed, there may be enough money coming into the household to pay for expenses that are needed. This program gives participants an opportunity to rethink how they are currently spending money and make a plan for future spending.”

The “Where Does Your Money Go?” program will be presented by Sampson at 2 p.m. on Jan. 10 at Putnam County Public Library.

Anyone who has a disability that requires special assistance for participation is encouraged to contact the Purdue Extension Putnam County office at 653-8411.
