Dorothy B. Williams left this world on Dec. 29, 2021.

Dorothy was born on April 3, 1931 in Jamestown, Ky., to Ova Hoyt Webb and Maggie Barrett Webb.

She was a 1950 graduate in Charlestown.

In 1952, she married Cleo Williams in Indianapolis.

Dorothy was an artist, painting water colors, oil paintings and ceramics. She published many poems and was a supreme seamstress. She was active in politics. Dorothy was director of the Putnam County CETA program and worked in government offices in California and Indiana. She served as a Worthy Matron in the OES two times and was in the Daughters of the Nile and Hoosier Hillbilly club. She and Cleo took many trips with the Murat Shriners Oriental band. They were also good dancers and enjoyed music. Dorothy was an avid gardener. She was also a Secret Santa for families in the area.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years (just shy of 70), Cleo; two daughters, Tammy (Bud) Page of Greencastle and Lisa (Donny) Perdue of Greencastle; seven grandchildren, Lori Thurber of Albuquerque, N.M., Angie (Ryan) Clark of Greencastle, Amanda (Josh) Clark of Crawfordsville, Ryan Sanders of Fillmore; Jacob (Chelsea) Page of Crawfordsville, Dustin Perdue of Greencastle and Ethan Perdue of Greencastle; nine great-grandchildren, Tanner Sanders, Sky Snyder, Charity Potter, Kennedy Clark, Graham Clark, Bronson Clark, Maddox Clark, Jayden Sanders and Ava Sanders; two brothers, Russell (Ellie) Webb of Bryan, Ohio, and Otis (Rita) Webb of Owensboro, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Sanders; a sister, Bonnie, and brother-in-law Jack Hecker; brother Les Webb and sister-in-law Barbara; and a sister, Jenny, and brother-in-law Tom Chiesa.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday.
