Charles ‘Dude’ R. Renfro

Charles “Dude” R. Renfro, 91, of Putnamville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022.

He was born in Osborn, Ohio, on February 19, 1930 to the late Charles F. and Mary (Alexander) Renfro.

Charles married Lam (Boonsoongnern) Renfro on Dec. 25, 1967 in Thailand, and she preceded him in death May 1, 2005.

Charles was an Air Force veteran having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars and he retired from the State Farm Correctional Facility in 1993.

He is survived by daughter Lin (Robert) Iseman of Greencastle, son Don Renfro of Columbus, Ohio, stepdaughter Elizabeth Jean Maley of Florida, sister Joan Olson and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Renfro. and sister Ida May Scott.

Graveside services for Charles will be held at noon on Monday, Jan. 17 at the Putnamville Cemetery.
