NP grad Adams back in Indiana at WISH-TV
INDIANAPOLIS — After several years at assignments out of the state, Putnam County native Cody Adams is back on the airwaves in the Hoosier State.
The 2008 North Putnam graduate has been reporting for WISH-TV in Indianapolis for several weeks. However, a Tuesday Facebook post was shared by his old high school’s account, welcoming Adams back home.
“Welcome home, Cody Adams,” the post read. “Cougar Nation welcomes you back to Indiana, and I know we are all excited to see you every day on WISH-TV.”
“Some of you know me, some of you don’t, so I thought I’d introduce myself,” Adams wrote in his post. “I’m one of the newest reporters at WISH-TV. You’ll also catch me filling in on the desk every now and then.
“I’m back home again in Indiana. I was raised in Roachdale, where I graduated from North Putnam High School (Go Cougars). I went on to study at Indiana State University.”
After graduating from ISU, Adams remained local for several years, working in sports for WTWO in Terre Haute and later switching to news.
“After years in the Haute, I packed up my family and we moved to San Angelo, Texas (two weeks after my wife had our second child),” Adams wrote. “After a couple years there we moved to Lexington, Ky., where I anchored the morning show, before eventually returning home and working at a station I grew up watching in WISH-TV. How cool is that?”
Adams and his wife have two daughters.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be back in the Hoosier State, telling stories and raising my family,” Adams said. “If you see me out and about please say hi.”
