Legionburgers available in drive-through event Saturday

Monday, May 16, 2022

In honor of Armed Forces Day, American Legion Post 58, located at 1401 Indianapolis Rd. on Greencastle’s East Side, will stage a Legionburger drive-through under its front canopy on Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until supplies run out.

Legionburgers and french fries will be available at $1.50 each.

Legion officials are hopeful this only a warmup for the fair in July, where Legionburgers are a culinary staple.

Just like the fair booth, Saturday’s event serves as a fundraiser for Legion needs and the many community activities it supports.

  • I hope this goes better than last year. Legionburgers are not worth waiting in your car for an hour.

  • I'm afraid I have to disagree with the Legionburgers not being worth the wait. The burgers are such a seasonal treat, but it is about supporting the men and women that the Legion serves. However, I can understand the anxiety of waiting and hoping they don't run out before your turn! Thank you to all the people who have served our country and continue to serve us with yummy food!
