Bennie Jay Cloncs

Bennie Jay Cloncs, 66, of Roachdale, passed away on Aug. 25, 2022, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.

He was born on Aug. 4, 1956, to Herbert and Marcia (Malayer) Cloncs.

He wed his best friend, Rachel Inman, on July 3, 1995 in Greencastle. She survives.

Bennie graduated from North Putnam High School with the class of 1974 and went on to attend college. While in school he was on the dean’s list for welding.

He worked for General Motors until retiring in 2000.

He was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church and UAW Local 23. He enjoyed racing, going to the beach, any kind of sports and being with his family and friends.

Bennie is survived by wife Rachel; four children, Brandi (Erik) Query, Donna Sheets, Gary (Sara) Sheets and Derrik (Sadie) Sheets; seven grandchildren; his parents; brother Bret Cloncs; and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his beloved canine companion and best friend, Daisy.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale, with Pastor David Bower officiating. Bennie will be laid to rest in Roachdale Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
