Bobbie Lee Buis
Bobbie Lee Buis, 72, of Greencastle, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 in his residence.
Born Feb. 16, 1950 in Greencastle, he was the son of Robert E. Buis and Hazel R. (McConnell) Buis.
He married Jackie S. Lairmore, and she survives.
Bobbie worked at Duke Energy as a hydraulic welder.
His survivors, in addition to his wife, include sons Chad Buis, Greencastle, and Josh Buis, wife Grace, Greencastle; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters Beth Wood, husband Chuck, Greencastle, and Diane Love, Fishers; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and brothers Jimmie and Jonathon Buis preceded him.
He was a father, grandfather, mentor, coach, the man, the myth, the legend, master fisherman, yard whisperer, dumpster diver, collector of antiques, and ultimate storyteller, better known as being “Bob Jacked.”
Bobbie Lee Buis went home to his Heavenly Father.
A celebration of Bob’s life will take place from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Community Building at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.
All friends and family are invited to come celebrate Bob’s life.
