Charles W. Collins

Charles W. Collins, 90, of McCordsville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, at Greenfield Health Care.

He was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Brazil to Lowell C. and Leonore (Overstreet) Collins.

Charles graduated from Greencastle High School and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Indianapolis. He was a production supervisor for Ford Motor Co., retiring in 1990.

Charles is survived by his wife, Betty (Broadstreet) Collins, whom he married June 6, 1952; sons Richard Collins of Indianapolis, Mark Collins of Tazwell, Tenn., and Steve Collins of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and brother Robert E. (Virginia) Collins of Santa Claus, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, listed above, and daughter-in-law Sherry Collins.

A funeral to celebrate Charles’ life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8115 Oaklandon Rd., Indianapolis.

Friends may call on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the church from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
