LETTER: Board of Realtors thanks bingo event sponsors, volunteers

Monday, November 28, 2022

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Putnam County Board of Realtors, I would like to thank the almost 250 community members who attended our 21st bingo event on Saturday, Nov. 12.

For over 10 years, we have been awarding scholarships locally, and the record $8,000 raised by this event helps us grow our endowment to make future scholarships possible.

I would like to thank our main event sponsors for their generosity: Aames Title & Closings, Abstract & Title, Carpenter Realtors, Collins Evans Real Estate, First Financial Bank, First National Bank, Fogle Real Estate, Helmer Appraisal, Neighbor Lead Real Estate, Prime Real Estate Group, Ruoff Mortgage, Teachers Credit Union, and F.C. Tucker Advantage, Realtors. First National Bank also seeded the pot for the bonanza game, which capped its payout at $1,000.

Thank you as well to our members who volunteered their time to set up and work the day of the bingo — Gina Carter, Lindsay Carter, Samantha Cooper, Todd Detro, Lindsey Fenwick, My Gilley, Becky Gross, Taylor Hecht, Elizabeth Kienzynski, Karen Lafoe, Joe Lenihan, Mary Looper, Jeff Rich, Chris Skillern, Michelle Skillern and Lezley Wass. We also appreciated the help of family members and the Greencastle High School National Honor Society who assisted with concessions and cleanup.

This event would not be possible without those who helped organize the event and set up tables, chairs and equipment before and after the event, plus those who volunteered their time, talents and resources. We greatly appreciate all those who donated door prizes and concession items as well.

Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you all for making our scholarships to Putnam County graduating seniors possible. Applications are currently available online at https://pcfoundation.org/ and the deadline to apply is Jan. 20.
