Indy Eleven welcomed Putnam County Youth Soccer Association as the newest member of the Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program Monday.

The Indy Eleven Youth Soccer Program is designed to increase accessibility to soccer in communities and encourage players, coaches, referees and parents to grow their passion for the sport by supporting the recreational soccer programs at member clubs.

Putnam County YSA is now the 12th club to join Indy Eleven’s grass roots initiative that will continue to grow annually and support more than 15,000 young players at the recreational level across the State of Indiana.

“Indy Eleven is proud to welcome Putnam County YSA into our growing family of Youth Soccer Partner club members,” said Greg Stremlaw, Indy Eleven president and chief executive officer. “Growing our footprint across Indiana and investing in the game at all levels continue to be major focuses for Indy Eleven in 2023, so we thank the PCYSA membership for helping the club expand the reach of the Youth Soccer Program into West Central Indiana.”

PCYSA currently serves more than 500 youth players and their families by offering both recreational and competitive travel soccer programs via a safe, supportive and competitive environment designed to make every player the best that they can be, no matter their ability or experience. To this end, the club’s travel coaches hold US Soccer coaching licenses, and Rec Program coaches are encouraged and supported to obtain US Soccer Grassroots Certification. “Since 1986, Putnam County Youth Soccer Association (PCYSA) has served the youth of our community. We are excited and proud to partner with Indy Eleven to grow the game of soccer in our area,” said Putnam County Youth Soccer Association Club President Scott Monnett. “The Indy Eleven Youth Program will help enhance the recreational and travel programs, and positively impact our Panther soccer family, by providing numerous resources to players, families and coaches. This partnership is an exciting development for our Club that will only improve the soccer experience for all through Indy Eleven’s player-focused methodology and passion for the sport.”

As part of the program, each registered recreational player will represent Indiana’s Team by wearing variations of Indy Eleven jerseys at their respective clubs and receive tickets to an Indy Eleven match.

Further assets available to member clubs includes but is not limited to: technical coaching expertise via the Indy Eleven Technical Staff and Youth Development Program Staff; access to additional educational resources for players, parents, coaches, and referees; the creation of revenue-generating partnership opportunities; and an Indy Eleven Soccer Festival event at Youth Soccer Program clubs that brings their rec soccer communities together in celebration of the sport.
