County Jail

Fourteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Monday

• At 7:36 a.m. Destiny M. Baugh, 24, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

Sunday

• At 11:23 p.m. Ashleigh L. Hamm, 33, Coatesville, was housed at the jail on a local warrant and for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

• At 3:44 a.m. Stephanie M. Meyer, 35, Indianapolis, was booked in on a pair of local warrants.

• At 1:23 a.m. Trey J. Mullen, 24, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Saturday

• At 11:09 p.m. Kathy S. Sparks, 63, Greencastle, was taken into custody for battery and domestic battery.

• At 4:11 p.m. Donald L. Dixie, 42, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant and for resisting law enforcement.

• At 12:15 p.m. Chris J. Kirmse, 45, Terre Haute, was booked in on a local warrant.

Friday

• At 8:41 p.m. Jordan M. Anvoots, 29, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for battery.

• At 5:56 p.m. Javin T. Coleman, 26, Urbana, Ill., was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 3:10 p.m. Guy H. Parrish, 35, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 1:23 p.m. Shawn M. Hamilton, 29, Falmouth, was booked in on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 4:03 a.m. Danney R. Lowery, 41, Jamestown, was lodged at the jail for driving without a license, resisting law enforcement and driving with a suspended license.

• At 3:23 a.m. Thomas J. Hood, 20, Jamestown, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

Wednesday

• At 10:25 p.m. Autumn D. McCord, 37, Anderson, was booked in on a warrant for robbery and on two writs.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five incidents since last Tuesday morning:

• At 11:28 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, GFD responded to a gas leak at the corner of Indiana and Larabee streets. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 11:29 with CenterPoint Energy working to secure the leak. GFD held the area along with DePauw University Public Safety until going back into service at 12:20 p.m.

• At 2:04 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, GFD was dispatched to Phi Gamma Delta at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 2:08 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 2:22 p.m.

• At 6:19 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to 124 Martinsville St. for an unauthorized burn. Firefighters arrived at 6:24 and found that the homeowner was burning a tree stump in the front yard. Firefighters advised of the city burn ordinance and the fire was extinguished. GFD went back into service at 6:29 p.m.

• At 6:56 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to Humbert Hall at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 6:58 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 7:06 p.m.

• At 11:59 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to Beta Theta Pi at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at midnight Saturday morning and determined the alarm was due to marijuana smoke. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 12:10 a.m.

Additionally, GFD responded to eight medical assists and had three disregards during and after this timeframe.
