Monday, May 29, 2023

Less than a week ahead of “Grease” kicking off the 2023 season at the Putnam County Playhouse, Greencastle First Friday will provide a sneak peak at the ’50s fun during the Friday, June 2 event.

At 6:40 p.m., the cast will perform a number from the musical as a kickoff to the entertainment on the north courthouse stage.

Additionally, anyone in attendance is invited to put on their favorite 1950s attire in celebration of the event. The best-dressed couple will receive two tickets to the show as well as dinner for two at Almost Home.

The fun for the whole family will continue throughout the evening, with the Mike Rolle Band to follow on the courthouse stage, while Fancy Sauce plays on South Indiana Street at 7 p.m.

Other attractions will include a pair of race cars on display, several new craft vendors, a game area with outdoor games for the whole family.

Meanwhile, event organizer Main Street Greencastle encourages everyone to check out all of the deals, fun and special merchandise from the restaurants, shops and boutiques on and around the square.
