County Jail

Eleven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 1:54 a.m. Alex M. Gaston, 33, Terre Haute, was taken into custody for public nudity.

Wednesday

• At 8:09 p.m. Justin C. Hobson, 40, Bedford, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 5:06 p.m. Cortney. C. Mitchell, 30, Indianapolis, was booked in on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 6:47 p.m. Wesley N. January, 33, Brazil, was lodged at the jail for driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction and refusal to identify self.

• At 5:24 p.m. Curtis L. Shelby, 36, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 1:47 p.m. Larry D. Patterson Jr., 43, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 3:40 a.m. Lashawn Griffin, 28, Lafayette, was booked in on a pair of local warrants.

• At 12:51 a.m. Rachel N. King, 34, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 9 p.m. Scott A. Ezman, 51, Coatesville, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

• At 4:57 p.m. Calvin M. Campbell, 49, Brazil, was housed at the jail on a writ.

• At 3:54 p.m. Ayden M. Terry, 18, Poland, was booked in for criminal mischief.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five incidents between Sunday evening and Thursday morning:

• At 8:15 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to the apartments at 106 S. Spring St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 8:20 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 8:30 p.m.

• At 9:33 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Beyond Homeless for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 9:38 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 9:57 a.m.

• At 5:52 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to Kappa Alpha Theta at DePauw University for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:55 and determined the alarm was due to hair spray. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 5:59 p.m.

• At 7:43 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to Silander House at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 7:46 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 7:52 p.m.

• At 8:49 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 6 E. Washington St. for a fire alarm in an apartment above Starbucks. Firefighters arrived at 8:52 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 9:05 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for 15 medical assists and had one disregard during this timeframe.
