County Jail

Twelve people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 9:29 p.m. Brandon K. Guess, 41, Clayton, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

• At 4:29 p.m. Kira R. King, 21, homeless, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 2:15 a.m. Allison M. Brown, 34, Greencastle, was booked in on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 7:11 p.m. Kathy S. Weddell, 47, Fillmore, was lodged at the jail on three local warrants.

• At 2:20 p.m. Martina F. Enoch, 36, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for trafficking with an inmate and possession of a controlled substance.

• At 12:51 p.m. Wilson H. May III, 41, Greencastle, was booked in on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 11:33 p.m. Scott A. Ezman, 51, Coatesville, was lodged at the jail for auto theft.

• At 5:46 p.m. Jordan R. Kesner, 33, Terre Haute, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

• At 3:03 p.m. Christopher T. Manning, 33, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 1:13 p.m. Joseph L. Hyland, 30, Terre Haute, was booked in on a writ.

• At 11:23 a.m. Devin A. Looper, 32, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for domestic battery.

• At 9:46 a.m. Jeffrey A. Miller, 57, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on a local warrant and a writ.

City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Daymian Weist, 28, Russellville, was arrested by Officer Jared McDaniel.

Taken into custody at a Woodhaven Drive residence, Weist was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a local warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft.

• At 8:02 p.m. Wednesday, Tammy D. Galloway, 49, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Justin Herd.

Taken into custody at the Greenmart gas station on Bloomington Street, Galloway was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a local warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of theft.

• At 6:02 p.m. Tuesday, Creigh A. Remsburg, 23, Greencastle, was arrested by Capt. Brad Hiatt.

Taken into custody at a County Road 75 West residence, Remsburg was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a charge of residential entry.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to seven incidents between Monday morning and Thursday morning:

• At 2:46 p.m. on Monday, GFD responded with the Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department on a motor vehicle incident at 2813 E U.S. 40. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 2:53 and were then released. GFD went back into service at 3:10 p.m.

• At 9:49 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to the apartments at 330 Greenwood Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 9:57 and determined the alarm was due to construction. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 10:09 a.m.

• At 2:52 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Pi Beta Phi at DePauw University for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 2:56 and determined the alarm was due to a dirty detector. The detector was cleaned and the alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 3:06 p.m.

• At 6:24 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 912 Crown St. for downed power lines. Firefighters arrived at 6:30 and found a tree across the roadway with power lines entangled. A perimeter was established and Duke Energy arrived. GFD went back into service at 7:33 p.m.

• At 6:52 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to 400 N. College Ave. for a tree down. Firefighters arrived at 6:57 and found a tree with lines entangled. Duke Energy advised that these were communication lines attached to its pole, and the street department and a tree trimming service were contacted. GFD went back into service at 8:01 p.m.

• At 9:41 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was called back to 912 Crown St. for the tree in the roadway. Firefighters arrived at 9:47 and assisted with removing the tree. GFD went back into service at 10:29 p.m.

• At 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle incident with injuries west of Bloomington Street on Veterans Memorial Highway. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 3:14 and cleared debris, while EMS had patient care. GFD went back into service at 4:03 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for eight medical assists during this timeframe.
