Area manager Darryl Hoyett (left) of Wabash Valley Asphalt looks on as crew members "mill" the roadway on East Washington Street. The company is making repairs on Washington, Locust, Seminary, Columbia and Fawnview during the next week.

A milling crew from Wabash Valley Asphalt spent Monday preparing Washington Street for paving. Area Manager Darryl Hoyett said he believes it will take about two days to finish the work.

Crews will continue working on Washington on Tuesday before moving to Locust, Columbia and Seminary streets for prep work. On Wednesday they return to work on Locust Seminary and Columbia Streets. They will also begin preparing an area of Fawnview where they will lay fabric on the heavily damaged sections before paving it on July 2.

Hoyett said he believes the repairs will be complete by July 3, if the weather cooperates. If not, they will return to Fawnview after July 4 to finish the project.
