James Ray Hardy

James Ray Hardy, 45, Greencastle, died Saturday.

Born in Pana, Ill., he was the son of Jerry L. and Donna Ray (Norton) Hardy.

A graduate of Northrup University in Inglewood, Calif., he had resided in Putnam County for eight years and was employed by Indiana Paging Network as an electronics technician. He was of the Catholic faith and was Cub Master for Pack 99.

He married Lillian L. Boess on Aug. 12, 1989. She survives.

Also surviving are son Raymond Lee Hardy, his father, and brother, Thomas Hardy, Bishop, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday
