Jack Myers Moore, 80, Brooklyn, died Friday at Morgan Hospital and Medical Center, Martinsville.

Born in Greencastle, he was the son of Algan and Marie (Myers) Moore. He married Delores Jean (Argadine) Moore in 1949, and she survives.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a curator for the Indiana State Museum for 25 years before retiring in 1996. Previously he had worked as a designer for J.C. Penny for five years and also owned J.M.M. Design Sign Shop for 30 years.

He was past master of Brooklyn Masonic Lodge No. 471 and a member of Brooklyn Christian Church.

Additional survivors include a son, John D. Moore, Mooresville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, John M. Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday Jan. 24 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville with Bill Burkley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.

Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
