Donald L. Tellas, 74, Reelsville, died Wednesday at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of Raymond Jeremiah and Libby (Hall) Tellas. He married Virginia Ann (Neese) Tellas on Oct. 28, 1949, and she survives.

He had worked as a world trade representative for IBM, Greencastle, and previously was employed by Paper Art, Indianapolis.

He was a member of the Indiana National Guard, Big Walnut Baptist Church in Reelsville, and former chief of Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Additional survivors include his mother, Libby Tellas Weaver, Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Penny Blair, Phoenix, Patty Jerving and husband Douglas, Milwaukee, Wisc., and Donna Tellas, Reelsville; three sisters, Loretta Hobbs, Hope Weaver, and Joyce Rogers, all of Phoenix; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Jeremiah Tellas, brothers Ray Weaver, Andy Weaver, Dick Weaver and Raymond Tellas, and step-father Andrew Weaver.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with the Rev. Mike Goss officiating. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
