Wanda Jean (Libka) Poynter, 62, Greencastle, died Friday morning at her residence.

Born in Bainbridge, she was the daughter of Halden K. and Ruby Ludell (Eggers) Libka.

A 1962 graduate of North Salem High School, she had been a custodian with Greencastle Community Schools from 1974-88. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and had served as a Sunday School teacher.

She married James H. Poynter on June 3, 1962 at Barnard. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Connie S. Thomas and husband Rob, Bainbridge, Marcia L. Reed and husband John, Cloverdale, and Janet K. McDonald and husband Jody, Bainbridge; sister Diane Rissner and husband Ken, Kendallville; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Larmer, and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Robert Davies officiating. Burial will be in Bainbridge Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
