Fred Davasher, 81, Coatesville, died Sunday afternoon at his residence.
Born in Holland, Ky., he was the son of Duke and Bea (Brown) Davasher.
He had been a machine operator at Olin Brass for 42 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Canaan Community Church and the Fillmore Masonic Lodge. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He married Lela Ruth Rogers, who died in 2005.
Surviving are a daughter, Freda Foster and husband Mike, Coatesville; five sons, Steve Davasher, Coatesville, Fred Davasher Jr., Lafayette, Charles Davasher, Hawaii, Mack Davasher and Jeff Davasher, both of Greencastle; a sister, Ethel Davasher, Holland, Ky.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville. Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
