Carol Goodenough Roberts, 91, Three Lakes, Wis., formerly of Greencastle, died on July 6, at Howard Young Medical Center.

Born in Louisville, Ill., she was the daughter of Albert and Edna Goodenough.

She lived in Greencastle and Three Lakes most of her life.

She married James Roberts, who preceded her in death in 1989.

She was a 1932 graduate of Greencastle High School and Ward Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn., in 1936.

She was a Red Cross nurse at Putnam County Hospital during World War II and was a house mother at Vanderbilt University and Hanover University for many years.

Survivors include son James Roberts and wife Ruthann; daughter Sharon Collinson and husband Roy; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sister-in-laws, all from Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Betty Abby.

No service was held. A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being taken care of by Bolger Funeral Home, Minocqua, Wis.
